Kent: The Home Of Our IT Helpdesk
Kent has been home to Akita’s helpdesk since our inception. Across our timeline, we’ve operated across various locations in the Sevenoaks area. This makes us an ideal partner for those in the town as well as its close neighbours such as Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
The opening of our Nepicar Park office in 2017 put us on the axis of the M20 and M26 motorways. Faster transport links allowed us to increase our customer base in Kings Hill and Maidstone, further cemented by our Maidstone datacentre presence.
The M20 also offers us faster links to Ashford, Canterbury and the wider Kent coast area including Folkestone, Ramsgate and Dover.
During our time at the Nepicar Park office, expansion works to the A2 have also been completed. This has delivered us improved access to offer IT support in Medway and East Kent towns such as Gravesend and Sittingbourne.
With our Nepicar Park location just 15 minutes away from the M25, towns that sit on the ring road’s fringes such as Orpington and Swanley have also become core supported areas.
Finally, our proximity to the Dartford Crossing (coupled our Central London presence) with has meant that we’re easily able to support companies across the south and east of Essex as well.
IT Support Across the Capital & Beyond
London has been a key part of Akita’s strategic growth in recent years and remains important for serving IT support across the South East.
South London has always been accessible from our historic office locations and we’ve enjoyed a range of customers from towns such as Bromley, Lewisham and Croydon.
The launch of our Central London presence in 2018 has allowed us to take our professional outsourced IT support and managed services right across the City.
As we become more established as a London IT company, our reach is now moving beyond its fringes: London’s excellent transportation infrastructure has meant we can now reach customers in locations such as Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire with ease (helped additionally by our North London presence in Watford), as well as into Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire.
Support Going West: East & West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire
With our presence around the South East supported by the region’s excellent transport links, Akita has quickly built up a presence in neighbouring counties.
While our Kent location made it the ideal location to support our Sussex customers (and surrounding IT support locations such as Brighton, Gatwick, Reigate, Crawley, Eastbourne and Hastings) it was felt a new presence was needed to support the growing interest in IT support for Surrey organisations.
A Leatherhead office was therefore chosen to support the areas as well as South West London. This has also given us the reach to support organisations in Hampshire too.
For additional data security and business continuity, Akita also has a second data centre presence in Reading. With our expert engineers regularly in attendance at this location, we’re also been able to deliver IT support across Reading and wider Berkshire, as well as nearby business hubs such as Slough.
IT Support Across The South East & Beyond: Remote & Hybrid Support
Of course, remote support technology has negated much of the need for our engineers to go to site for support requests. In turn, this means that Akita’s reach has become nearly indefinite.
Already, we support organisations with satellite offices across the wider UK: as far north as Glasgow, as far west as Exeter and Tewkesbury and as far East as Kings Lynn. We also have supported customers in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
We support these operations with a network of regional engineers who are able to deliver our proactive support element at these locations as needed.
