How we have helped
Ream Surgical
QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central migration
Ream Surgical is a specialist in the supply and repair of surgical instruments and medical equipment. It offers a complete resource to its customers within all areas of the NHS, private hospital groups, GPs and health centres, as well as veterinary practices.
Having experienced high demand for its services, the company had outgrown its existing QuickBooks accounting system. This prompted Ream to review the market to find a more sophisticated system that could better support its ongoing success.
Requiring a solution that could improve sales and inventory management, and align this with the accounts and invoicing, Akita was able to recommend and deploy a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system.
Our rapid Business Central implementation focused on improving finance management. From Business Central’s wide capabilities, we deployed General Ledger, Fixed Asset, Cash Book and Purchase Order modules to assist with the management of finance within the organisation. We also deployed the Procurement, Sales, and Inventory Control modules to further aid sales management.
Combined, these modules gave the company a single, continuous system from which to go from ‘quote to cash’ functionality. This has improved the functionality offered by QuickBooks, plus has the bonus of integrating with their wider Microsoft 365 setup and applications.
Akita also provides ongoing Dynamics 365 Business Central support to Ream, guiding the use of the new finance ERP system and providing peace of mind.
With Business Central in place as a finance solution, Ream now has the right platform to support its growth and prepare it for future success.
