Improving Cyber Security And Supporting Card Payment Compliance

Akita worked with a trade publisher to undertake PCI scanning and ensure compliance with PCI DSS framework.

With a large, returning subscriber base and further publication purchases made via its website, the publisher processes payment card details as a core part of its operations.

To ensure it remains compliant with PCI DSS standards (as required by banks and card terminal providers), the publisher engaged Akita to undertake scanning of its setup to ensure there were no gaps in its cyber security measures.

Undertaken by one of Akita’s skilled cyber security consultants, scans were conducted to assess that both the organisation’s website and network setup met the required compliance.

When minor issues were found, Akita’s consultant was available to report and advise on the required remediation works. This in turn allowed for the issues identified to be rectified quickly.

Reports were then submitted to an approved service vendor to demonstrate compliance with PCI DSS.
