      Akita Enhances Remote Monitoring For Further Service Improvement

      As part of our commitment to continuous service improvement, Akita is upgrading its remote monitoring and management (RMM) tool.

      Advancing Our RMM Solutions

      We’re transitioning from our current RMM solution, ConnectWise Automate, to the latest version – ConnectWise RMM.

      This change forms part of our wider strategy to ensure we are always working with industry-leading technologies that support reliable and responsive IT services.

      ConnectWise RMM offers enhanced functionality and a more modern platform for delivering our monitoring services, particularly benefiting customers with Network Operations Centre (NOC) agreements.

      It also gives our engineers greater flexibility to improve performance, drive efficiencies, and prevent issues before they impact our customers.

      Why We’re Upgrading Remote Monitoring

      At Akita, we continuously review our technology stack to ensure it meets the evolving needs of our customers. This upgrade reflects our drive for continual improvement and allows us to unlock functionality that was not previously available.

      By moving to ConnectWise RMM, we’re strengthening our ability to deliver proactive support, increase service reliability, and offer even more value through our NOC services.

      Maximum Improvement, Minimal Disruption

      For organisations we support, there will be no disruption to existing monitoring services during the transition. The new RMM agent will be deployed silently in the background, running alongside the existing tool for a short period while we complete the rollout.

      Customers may briefly notice two icons appearing on their devices – one for the existing RMM agent and one for the new platform. This is purely visual and temporary. Once we’ve confirmed all features have successfully transferred and are running as expected, the old agent will be removed.

      In rare cases where automatic deployment is not possible, we’ll reach out directly to arrange a convenient time for a manual install. As always, our focus is on minimal disruption and maintaining full monitoring coverage throughout the process.
