Akita delivers Microsoft Teams services to organisations across a variety of industries. This includes delivering Teams for Education solutions.

The View School is a leading specialist educator located in the heart of Kent.

With the onset of Covid-19, staff at the school required a remote video conferencing solution to continue teaching during the ensuing lockdown. The school turned to Akita for assistance.

Microsoft Teams offered the solution required. As a Microsoft Gold and Tier 1 CSP partner, Akita had both the expertise and access to licences to meet this provision

Our engineers remotely installed and configured Microsoft Teams for Education for teachers and students, working to minimise disruption during the deployment process.

To ensure that staff were confident in using the application, Akita then conducted a Microsoft Teams training session to run through its functionality in detail. This covered the relevant useful features available in the application, including some staff weren’t aware of.

Time was also dedicated to addressing specific issues with the platform, covering any areas where staff were uncertain.

As a result of the Microsoft Teams deployment, The View School has been able to run remote daily classes utilising video calling and Teams for Education features such as Classrooms and Assignments.

More than video conferencing, Teams has allowed teachers to both set and collaborate on projects with students, with work in turn graded and reported upon through the Teams for Education platform.
